Sometimes I just don't feel like blogging

So here's yet another overdue blog entry... sorry to keep you waiting.

Our sem friends had their babies--Keegan and Kyah, it is wonderful to meet you!

We went to a Rams game while the Packers were in town. Of course the Packers won. Although the game was in St. Louis, there was an awful lot of green and gold. And, as Matt likes to point out, most of the Rams fans that did show up flooded out of the stadium with seven minutes left of the fourth quarter. Packers fans would never do that! Despite the obvious rivalry, we had a really good time at the game.

Our nephew Evan turned three this October. It was nice to be around to celebrate with him this year! We enjoyed the giant "3" from Gus' Pretzels and all the yummy food Lani made.

Matt's cousin got married and we made a short trip to Wisconsin for the occasion. We visited with Shana and Kyle on our way up to Green Bay too. We are really enjoying being back in the Midwest so that we can more easily spend time with family. We are also enjoying having autumn this year--the fall foliage is beautiful!

Matt is feeling the weight of his heavy class load this quarter, but he is still finding time to have fun. His intramural football team is undefeated so far--and after beating the only other undefeated team yesterday, their chances of championship are all but clenched. He's also playing on the basketball team again this year. Practices have officially started up and his first game is at the end of the month. Let's pray that no serious injuries occur--we don't want another ACL reconstruction surgery!

We had our first placement meeting with Dr. Peter this week, and we have another next week with Rev. Hoehner. It is exciting to finally be at this stage of sem life! We've been talking a lot about our ideal congregational dynamics, geographic locations, and Matt's skill set. This whole process feels a little like a glorified dating service (someone compared it to E-harmony...). Sometimes all this human input makes it hard to remember that this is a divine call.

Megan is back to being unemployed. Long story... and I don't really feel like re-hashing it here. But if you could continue to pray for the right job to come we really would appreciate it!
