Yup. Another new job! In January I went to work for my uncle Brian, who, although has been a physical therapist for over twenty years, decided to open his own practice in January. There was a sharp learning curve for me, especially with learning how to deal with insurance companies. I wear many hats around the office--I do normal office manager tasks like answering phones, setting up appointments, collecting copays, verifying insurance coverage and benefits, maintaining files, and faxing and mailing things, but I also help with laundry, a bit of cleaning, run payroll, and occasionally help Brian in the clinic with his patients. I got to administer ultrasound therapy once or twice, but mostly I just monitor different stretches and exercises that the patients are supposed to do on their own. This has been a nice change of pace from my days as a nanny, and I really enjoy working with my uncle.
