San Francisco with Gio

We were able to visit San Francisco one last time before we move when Jon, one of Megan's former colleagues, spent some of his vacation with us. We took Jon to some of our favorite parts of The City--Fort Point, Coit Tower, Pier 39, Ghirardelli's...

It was a very windy and foggy morning on the top of Fort Point
We also tired some new things--the Exploratorium is a hands-on science center with a lot of interesting displays. One display called "A Sip of Conflict" had a toilet for a drinking fountain.... and Matt did drink out of it. This picture is from a display on reflections--it was intriguing.

Credit to Jon for taking this picture!

Another new stop: The Stinking Rose. This is where we had dinner with Jon--they used garlic in EVERYTHING. Matt had a dish called chicken and 40 cloves of garlic. And yes, we still tasted the garlic the next day.

Of course if you want a good view of The City you need to stop at Coit Tower. Most of the fog was gone by the afternoon, so we thoroughly enjoyed the view.

Before we headed home, we went down to Chrissy Field to watch the sun set over the Golden Gate Bridge. It was awesome!
